Scottsdale is currently seeking residents to fill several volunteer positions on its boards and commissions. These roles offer an opportunity for community members to contribute to the city's development and decision-making processes.
The city has openings in eight different boards and commissions: Board of Adjustment, Human Services Commission, Library Board, McDowell Sonoran Preserve Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, Planning Commission, Tourism Development Commission, and Transportation Commission.
Interested individuals can learn more about the responsibilities of each board or commission and submit their applications online. The deadline for application submission is Thursday, April 21. Once submitted, applications remain valid for one year.
In May, the City Council will review all submitted materials and nominate candidates from the applicant pool. Those selected must adhere to Scottsdale's Ethics Code and complete a training session before starting their official duties.
