Scottsdale has launched a new online story map called the Scottsdale Veterans Trail, designed to honor military service members throughout history. The city, founded by Civil War veteran Major Winfield Scott, aims to recognize both past and present veterans, especially those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Canal Convergence is currently taking place at the Scottsdale Waterfront until November 17. This year's theme, "Reflections," encourages visitors to engage with large-scale light-based artworks. The event features family-friendly activities, educational workshops, art and history tours, live music, dance performances, and a Mini Film Festival.

The Miller Road Bridge over Rawhide Wash is now open. It connects Miller Road between Pinnacle Peak Road and Happy Valley Road. The bridge includes two lanes in each direction, bike lanes, and sidewalks with landscaped buffers. This $20.4 million project was funded by the Transportation Sales Tax and Arterial Life Cycle Program Regional Sales Tax.

Scottsdale hosts several public meetings weekly to discuss city issues and projects. Upcoming meetings include the City Council Regular Meeting on November 12 and various board meetings throughout the week.

Scottsdale Airport will host a movie night featuring "Elf" on November 23 as part of its holiday celebrations. The event is sponsored by Volanti Restaurant and Lounge along with aviation companies.

Ongoing events in Scottsdale include the ArtWalk every Thursday evening, diverse performances at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, McDowell Sonoran Conservancy events, activities at Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West, and more.

Bruce Wall from the city of Scottsdale will present "Treasures of Scottsdale" on November 13 at ASU Kerr Cultural Center. The presentation will highlight unique stories that contribute to Scottsdale's character.

The city is hiring for a Human Services Operations Supervisor position at Paiute Neighborhood Center. This role involves supervising employees and coordinating personnel-related activities while monitoring professional services contracts.

For more information or assistance with city services, residents can contact the City Call Center or use other available resources like traffic maps or weather updates.
