Scottsdale police seize fentanyl worth $600k during traffic stop

The Scottsdale Police Department has reported the seizure of $600,000 worth of Fentanyl during a recent traffic stop. The incident occurred in the early hours of April 7, 2022, when patrol officers stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation near Scottsdale Road and McKellips Road.

Upon investigation, officers discovered 23 pounds of Fentanyl pills and 10.5 pounds of Fentanyl powder inside the vehicle. The estimated street value of the seized drugs is $600,000.

A spokesperson from the department stated, "The Scottsdale Police Department works with local, state, and federal agencies in the war against drugs." The department also urged citizens to avoid consuming non-prescribed substances and highlighted their campaign slogan: "#onepillcankill."

Details about those arrested have not been disclosed due to the ongoing investigation.
