City of Goodyear issued the following announcement on July 27.
Have you noticed that your tap water is coming out hotter than normal?
Fluctuation of water temperature is common in the Valley during the summer. There are multiple reasons for the hotter water temperature in the summer:
-The temperature of the aquifer (some wells run hotter than others)
-The depth of service lines on private property
-The pipe insulation in a home
- Ongoing construction in the area that could impact water flows and retention time in storage tanks
