Scottsdale is inviting young artists from kindergarten to 12th grade to contribute their creative skills to the Scottsdale Patch program. This initiative is a joint effort between the city and the Girl Scouts-Arizona Cactus-Pine Council (GSACPC). The program, which is set to launch in spring 2025, aims to educate Girl Scouts about Scottsdale's diverse offerings.

Mayor David D. Ortega expressed enthusiasm for the project, stating, “Scottsdale and the Girl Scouts have such rich heritage and character. I can't wait to see what they come up with.”

The contest requires submissions to be original designs that include "GSACPC" and "Scottsdale." Additionally, elements representing Scottsdale's landmarks or cultural and historical references should be part of the design.

A committee consisting of staff from Scottsdale and GSACPC will select the winning design. The selected winner will be informed by December 13.

For those interested in participating, detailed information can be found on the city's website by searching for “Girl Scout Patch Program.” Submissions can be made at City Hall or sent via email to Rebecca Kurth. The deadline for entries is 5 p.m., Friday, November 15.
