Scottsdale's monthlong winter celebration, Scottsdazzle, is in full swing with several events scheduled for this weekend. On Saturday, December 14, from 9 a.m. to noon, children are invited to attend "Pancakes and Pajamas with Santa" at Marshall Way Bridge. Participants are encouraged to wear holiday-themed pajamas and enjoy breakfast while meeting Santa Claus. The event includes dance performances by Greasepaint Theatre and arts and crafts activities. Pre-registration is required for this event, which costs $30 per person.
Another event, "Holly Jolly DIY Décor," offers a hands-on session for creating 3D ornaments led by professional artists at the Scottsdale Artists' School. Attendees can enjoy live holiday music performed by Beth Lenderman during the event.
The "Scottsdazzle Stroll" invites visitors to explore Old Town Scottsdale's winter wonderland on Saturday evening from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., starting at 7135 E. Camelback Road. This experience features local musicians, festive lights along the canal banks of the Scottsdale Waterfront, and an opportunity to take photos by the 36-foot Scottsdazzle tree.
In other news, Scottsdale has been recognized as the No. 1 digital city for the second consecutive year by the Center for Digital Government's annual Digital Cities Survey among cities with populations between 125,000 and 249,999. The survey acknowledges cities that excel in utilizing technology to enhance services such as citizen services and cybersecurity.
