The City Council is set to discuss amendments to vacation rental codes at its meeting on Tuesday, October 25. This follows the creation of Arizona Senate Bill 1168, which enhances local authority over short-term rentals. The council will review a draft ordinance that aligns with the new state law, including local license and permit provisions. Revised code amendments will be considered for adoption after reviewing public comments. Maricopa County has introduced "vote anywhere" Vote Centers for early voting, allowing voters flexibility in choosing their polling locations.
