The city of Scottsdale is currently seeking residents to fill several volunteer positions on its boards and commissions. These roles offer an opportunity for community members to contribute to the city's development in various areas, including diversity, veteran affairs, and airport safety.
There are openings on six different boards and commissions: the Airport Advisory Commission, Board of Adjustment, Building Advisory Board of Appeals, Human Relations Commission, Transportation Commission, and Veterans Advisory Commission.
Interested individuals can find more information about these positions and submit their applications online by visiting ScottsdaleAZ.gov and searching for "Boards and Commissions." The deadline for application submission is Thursday, September 8. Once submitted, applications remain valid for one year.
The City Council will review all applications in September. Selected candidates will be interviewed and appointed in October. Those appointed must adhere to the city's Ethics Code and complete a training session before starting their term.
