EPCOR has issued letters to customers who receive wastewater services from Scottsdale Water while also being EPCOR water customers. The communication is aimed at informing them about recent changes in the partnership between the two entities.

These modifications were approved by the Arizona Corporation Commission on June 28, 2023. One significant change allows EPCOR to assist Scottsdale in collecting overdue wastewater bills or charges upon request. This assistance may involve disconnecting water services for those with unpaid wastewater bills to Scottsdale, even if their EPCOR water bills are current.

Additionally, EPCOR is now permitted to share monthly water consumption data of its Scottsdale customers with the city. This information will be used exclusively for billing sewer utility services and will remain confidential unless legally required to be disclosed.

The letter serves as a notification rather than a bill. Customers with inquiries regarding their Scottsdale Water sewage bill or the agreement can contact (480) 312-2461.
