Jet Aviation is expanding its presence at Scottsdale Airport with two new projects. The company, which opened a fixed-base operator facility at the airport in January 2021, is now working on developments that will enhance its services.
The first project involves creating a facility for NetJets, located next to the Airport Operations Building. This development will serve as an exclusive-use maintenance service hub for NetJets, adding to their global network of over ten Maintenance Service Hubs™. The facility will include a 30,000 square foot hangar and approximately 12,000 square feet dedicated to offices and a customer terminal building. The initial phase focused on preparing the ramp area for additional aircraft parking ahead of major events such as the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction, Waste Management Phoenix Open, and Super Bowl LVII. Completion of this project is expected by early 2024.
In addition to the NetJets facility, Jet Aviation is investing around $6 million in constructing an 18,000 square foot hangar south of its fixed-base operator terminal building and adjacent to the Air Commerce Center. This new hangar aims to address the need for more space and is progressing swiftly with the use of tilt walls in its construction.
