Scottsdale Video Network expands access via LocalBTV app across multiple platforms

Scottsdale Video Network has expanded its availability beyond Cox Cable channel 11 and live streaming. Viewers can now access it through the LocalBTV app on various platforms, including Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV, mobile phones, and laptops. The network invites viewers to visit LocalBTV.com for more information.

The popular Yule Log program is set to return this holiday season. Viewers can enjoy the warm ambiance of a virtual fireplace with accompanying holiday music from 2 p.m. on December 24 until midnight on December 25.

Public meetings covered by the network may lead to preemptions in regular programming. Updates to the public meeting schedule are available at ScottsdaleAZ.gov.

The network offers a range of programs, including "Arizona Wildlife Views," which explores Arizona's recreational and wildlife opportunities. "Building Hoover Dam" provides historical footage of the dam's construction. "Cinetime" features independent films from Chandler’s International Film Festival.

Fitness enthusiasts can join "Club SAR @ Home" for workout routines like yoga and kickboxing on weekdays. Historical programming includes "Honoring Preserve Pioneers," which tells the story behind the McDowell Sonoran Preserve's establishment.

The series "Legends of Airpower" profiles key figures in American air power history with interviews featuring notable individuals such as Chuck Yeager and Buzz Aldrin.

Other programs include "Neighborhood College," offering resources for community leadership; "No burn day? Don’t burn wood!" promoting clean air practices; and performances by the Scottsdale Philharmonic Orchestra.

Musical showcases continue with the "Songwriters' Showcase Marathon," highlighting local artists. Children can learn safety tips from Sprinkler the clown in "Sprinkler's Clubhouse."

"Veterans AZ" celebrates Arizona veterans' stories and achievements, while Rose Mattie speaks at this year's Veterans Day Commemoration about her military experiences.

Historical documentaries such as "Where Summer Winters" explore Scottsdale's resort history, while "Winfield Scott, Founding Father" covers Scottsdale's origins. Lastly, “Yesterdays: Frances Young” presents an interview focusing on social justice themes with Frances Young.
