Scottsdale seeks recreation leaders for flexible part-time roles

Scottsdale's Parks and Recreation department is currently recruiting recreation leaders to manage programs and operations at several prominent locations in the Valley. The positions available are mostly part-time, offering flexible hours, including nights and weekends, suitable for individuals of all ages.

The current job openings include:

- Recreation Leader I: This entry-level role involves working with after-school and summer youth programs at locations such as McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park and other Scottsdale parks.

- Recreation Leader II: Candidates for this position need six months of customer service experience. Responsibilities include running various youth programs, assisting at parks, managing sports facilities like tennis centers, coordinating adult sports leagues, and working at the Railroad Park. Employment opportunities are available in one of Scottsdale's three community centers or two senior centers.

- Recreation Leader II (Adaptive Services – Part-Time): This specialized role focuses on supporting children and adults with physical or intellectual disabilities. Duties involve providing assistance in after-school programs, coaching Special Olympics sports, and leading social activities and excursions.
