Ascension Lutheran Church recently issued the following announcement.
On Monday, June 15th, from 8-10 am, Ascension Lutheran Church will be collecting water in our parking lot for the Navajo Mission. There is a shortage of clean water as the Navajo are dealing with higher than normal rates of Covid-19 while in many cases, they are living without indoor plumbing and 50 miles away from the nearest healthcare facility. Gallon containers of water are preferred. Checks can be written to the Navajo Evangelical Lutheran Mission (located in Rock Point) and mailed to the church. Put this event on your calendars and thank you in advance for your Christ-like generosity toward our brothers and sisters in need.
