Scottsdale Airport is preparing for a busy period as it welcomes travelers for Super Bowl LVII in Arizona. The airport anticipates a significant increase in aircraft traffic from February 8 to February 13 and requires advance reservations, which are filling up quickly. Information about reservations can be found at ScottsdaleAirport.com.
The airport's Fixed Base Operators (FBOs), including Atlantic Aviation, Jet Aviation, and Signature Flight Support, manage these reservations to ensure a smooth process. The team is collaborating with the FAA to schedule flights efficiently.
Gary P. Mascaro, aviation director, expressed enthusiasm for serving the influx of travelers: “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to serve such a prestigious group of travelers and can't wait to show off our state-of-the-art facilities and excellent customer service.”
During the event, Scottsdale Airport will operate approximately 33 departure slots and three arrival slots per hour starting at 5 p.m. on February 12 through early evening on February 13. This follows their experience during the 2015 Super Bowl when they managed 1,189 operations over the weekend.
Recent upgrades at Scottsdale Airport include an $11 million runway rehabilitation project and a $5 million expansion that added five aircraft bays. These improvements aim to enhance the travel experience for visitors attending the Super Bowl and other activities in Scottsdale.
Scottsdale is excited to host this "Super Season" and showcase what Arizona has to offer. The airport’s FBOs are prepared to provide VIP treatment, reinforcing its reputation for excellence in private jet operations in the southwest.
