Mayor's Ability Awards scholarship applications open for eligible Scottsdale students

Applications are now open for the Mayor’s Ability Awards, a scholarship aimed at supporting Scottsdale students with disabilities who wish to pursue further education. Eligible students can apply until March 21, with detailed information available on the city's website. Recipients will be honored at a ceremony on April 18.

In other news, Scottsdale's community survey is open for residents to provide feedback on city programs and services. The results will help prioritize future initiatives and will be published in spring 2025.

The National Transportation Safety Board continues its investigation into a February 10 aircraft accident at Scottsdale Airport involving a private jet that veered off the runway due to mechanical failure. The airport, one of the busiest single-runway general aviation airports in the nation, was closed for six hours following the incident.
