Scottsdale Unified School District (SUSD) has released its Spring edition of Showcase magazine, showcasing stories of innovation, academic excellence, and community engagement. Themed around #SUSDInnovates, this edition delves into the intersection of education and technology, particularly focusing on artificial intelligence.

One of the featured articles in the magazine discusses the new SUSD Innovation StartUp Grant program, with Tonalea Middle School being one of the first grant recipients. According to the magazine, these grants are fostering innovative programs like integrating drones into a coding class to enhance students' learning experiences and passion for STEM.

"We are thrilled to present the Spring edition of Showcase magazine, a testament to another successful year of dedicated staff inspiring great academic achievements by our students," said Kristine Harrington, Director of Communications and Marketing for SUSD. "We invite our community to dive into these pages and be equally inspired by the many ways #SUSDInnovates."

The magazine also highlights SUSD's commitment to wellness within the community through a collaboration with the Scottsdale Blue Zones Project, aiming to improve the health and well-being of students, staff, and families.

Furthermore, the magazine celebrates the talents of SUSD students at the Scottsdale Family ArtsFest and features the story of Jackson Washburn, a junior at Chaparral High School, who created the district's new coloring book, Grow with sUSd, depicting the educational journey of an SUSD learner.

SUSD, serving over 21,000 students in 30 schools, has been a premier choice for public education for 127 years. The district offers diverse educational opportunities, including gifted learning, special education, career and technical education, as well as athletics, arts, and enrichment programs, fostering a rich learning environment for students.
