The International School of Arizona (ISA), a private nonprofit institution in North Scottsdale, is preparing for its 15th annual 'Laundry Day.' This event, rooted in the French tradition known as 'La Grande Lessive,' has been a staple at ISA since March 2011. Unlike the usual notion of laundry day, this occasion serves as an artistic exhibition held each spring.

The event showcases artworks created by students from PK1 through 8th grade, all centered around a specific theme. Additionally, ISA integrates 'Poetry Week' into the celebration by displaying poems written or decorated by students on clotheslines. This year's Laundry Day is scheduled for March 27th from 8:30 to 10:00 am and will feature art and poetry under the theme "Francophone/Hispanic Portrait."

Founded 26 years ago, ISA offers a culturally inclusive curriculum with French and Spanish language immersion programs starting at 18 months old and continuing through the eighth grade. The school maintains a small student body of 336 across three educational levels: Early Childhood (PK1-PK4), Lower School (Kindergarten – 5th grade), and Middle School (6th – 8th grade). Each classroom benefits from small class sizes and instruction by native-speaking teachers from countries such as Spain, Mexico, Colombia, and France.

ISA's programs hold accreditation from several bodies including the French Ministry of Education, the Cervantes Institute, the International Spanish Academy by the Spanish Government, and Cognia—the largest education community globally representing over 30,000 schools.

Currently accepting applications for Fall 2025 placements, ISA invites interested parties to apply or schedule campus tours. For more information or inquiries, contact Francis Hewitt, Director of Admissions & Marketing at fhewitt@isaz.org or call 480-874-2326.
