Scottsdale marked a significant moment in its governance as newly elected officials took office on January 14. Mayor Lisa Borowsky, along with City Council members Jan Dubauskas, Adam Kwasman, and Maryann McAllen, were sworn in at a public ceremony held at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts.
The new officials join Vice Mayor Barry Graham and current council members Kathy Littlefield and Solange Whitehead. Together, they will constitute the seven-member body responsible for guiding the city's development.
Mayor Borowsky, who hails from Scottsdale, expressed her appreciation to residents and shared her optimism for the city’s prospects during her speech at the event. The newly inducted council members also conveyed their dedication to serving Scottsdale's community.
