Scottsdale promotes early voting ahead of general election

The city of Scottsdale is encouraging residents to vote early in the upcoming General Election. Early voting aims to help citizens avoid long lines on Election Day, with the deadline for requesting an early ballot by mail set for October 25. More information about the election and candidates can be found at Scottsdale.Vote.

In addition, nominations are open for the 2025 Sustainable Scottsdale Awards, which honor those who have made significant contributions to sustainability in the community. Nominations close on October 31, with winners announced during Earth Week in April 2025.

Scottsdale's public meetings this week include a Tourism Development Commission Special Meeting and City Council Regular Meeting on October 22, followed by Planning Commission and Neighborhood Advisory Regular Meetings on October 23.

For entertainment, Scottsdale's Fall Festival will take place on October 26 at Chaparral Park, offering various activities including trick-or-treating and live entertainment. The same weekend, WestWorld will host both the Desert Dog Police K9 Trials and Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships.

The city also invites residents to celebrate Dia de los Muertos with several events from October 24 through November 2 in Old Town Scottsdale. Additionally, families can enjoy Halloween Spook-Track-Ula at Paradise & Pacific Railroad until October 31.

Scottsdale offers ongoing cultural experiences such as ArtWalks every Thursday evening and diverse events at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. Community members are encouraged to participate in programs like Adopt-a-Road cleanup on October 26 or dispose of unwanted prescription drugs during a Drug Take-Back event that same day.

Infrastructure improvements are underway along Pima Road through mid-2025 as part of a partnership between Scottsdale and the Salt River Pima–Maricopa Indian Community. Lastly, job seekers might consider applying for an Airport Administrative Coordinator position with competitive benefits offered by the city.
