Scottsdale is offering 13 openings across various boards and commissions, providing residents a chance to participate in shaping the city's future. Those interested must submit an online application by Friday, November 1.

The available positions span several boards including the Environmental Advisory Commission, Loss Trust Fund Board, and Veterans Advisory Commission. The city encourages individuals with a civic mindset to apply for these roles that influence policy and contribute to Scottsdale's growth and well-being.

Openings are available as follows:

- Environmental Advisory Commission: 3 positions

- Historic Preservation Commission: 2 positions

- Loss Trust Fund Board: 1 position

- McDowell Sonoran Preserve Commission: 1 position

- Neighborhood Advisory Commission: 1 position

- Paths and Trails Subcommittee: 1 position

- Veterans Advisory Commission: 4 positions

Detailed descriptions of each board’s responsibilities can be accessed at ScottsdaleAZ.gov by searching "Boards and Commissions."

Applications will remain valid for one year. The Scottsdale City Council will review applications, nominate candidates for interviews, and make appointments in December.

Selected candidates must adhere to the city's Ethics Code and complete a training session before starting their term.

This initiative offers residents an opportunity to give back to their community by serving on a board or commission in Scottsdale.
