Scottsdale Water is set to host the One Water Brewing Showcase on November 3 and 4 at the Scottsdale Waterfront during Canal Convergence. This event will highlight beer crafted with advanced water purification methods and is open to the public free of charge. Attendees aged 21 and over can purchase a sample pack that includes various beers made with highly-purified water, along with souvenir sample mugs.

The event aims to educate the community about water sustainability and conservation amidst ongoing droughts and water shortages. Scottsdale Water has partnered with local breweries committed to these causes, including AZ Wilderness Brewing Co., Desert Monks Brewing Co., Fate Brewing Co., Huss Brewing Co., North Mountain Brewing, O.H.S.O. Brewery, Walter Station Brewery, and Wren House Brewing.

The participating breweries will use purified water sourced from Scottsdale’s Advanced Water Treatment Facility, which uniquely permits this resource for sampling in Arizona. The treatment process involves ozonation, membrane ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, and ultraviolet photolysis, resulting in water quality that surpasses bottled water standards while meeting all state and federal regulations.

Scottsdale views this purified water as an innovative solution to current water supply challenges. The city hopes to integrate it as a new community resource soon, pending state approval.

Further details about the showcase can be found by searching "One Water Brewing Showcase" on ScottsdaleAZ.gov.
