Two significant human services centers in Scottsdale, the Paiute Neighborhood Center and Via Linda Senior Center, are celebrating 30 years of community service in 2025. These centers have been integral to the Scottsdale community, providing vital resources and services.

Paiute Neighborhood Center offers a variety of social, recreational, and educational programs. Since its inception, it has built a strong community environment through youth programs, language classes, and collaborations with local nonprofit organizations.

Via Linda Senior Center, serving Scottsdale's senior population since 1995, provides daily recreational programs and special events to promote active and engaging lifestyles. The center also offers social services like home-delivered meals and wellness checks for seniors and their families.

Kira Peters, senior director, stated, “For three decades, Paiute Neighborhood Center and Via Linda Senior Center have been pillars of community support, connection and enrichment. As we celebrate their 30th anniversaries, we honor the lasting impact these centers have had on individuals and families, fostering a sense of belonging and well-being. This milestone is a testament to the dedication of staff, volunteers, and community partners who have made a difference in countless lives.”

The centers have organized celebratory events for their anniversaries in March. Via Linda Senior Center's event is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25, at 10440 E. Via Linda, featuring a tribute to past and present staff and seniors. Although the event is fully booked, a waitlist is available. Paiute Neighborhood Center's Spring Festival will be held on Saturday, March 29, at 6535 E. Osborn Road, offering a family-friendly environment with music, games, and community resources. This event is open to all, with no registration required.
