The Scottsdale Unified School District No. 48, in collaboration with the City of Scottsdale, conducted an audit focusing on its human resources functions. This examination aimed to evaluate the district's strategic and operational planning and staffing services.

Findings from the audit suggest that enhancing HR data reliability and availability could improve recruitment and retention strategies. Additionally, this would facilitate performance monitoring within the district. The report also highlighted a need for increased oversight of certain recruitment activities. Furthermore, standardizing procedures may help alleviate workload pressures and support the department in achieving its strategic objectives.

The final report was presented to both the District’s Audit Committee and Governing Board during public meetings held in March and May 2023.
