Scottsdale Video Network releases diverse June programming schedule

The Scottsdale Video Network has released its June program guide, featuring a range of shows and public meetings that highlight local history, community issues, and educational content. The network advises checking the current schedule on ScottsdaleAZ.gov as public meeting times may change or be canceled.

Among the programs offered is "2023 Scottsdale Forward," which focuses on economic development in the city. It brings together business leaders and officials to discuss innovation strategies. This symposium airs Thursdays at 2, 7, and 11 a.m., as well as 3, 6, and 9 p.m., with additional showings on Fridays.

"Honoring Preserve Pioneers" tells the story of the establishment of the McDowell Sonoran Preserve following a resolution by the Scottsdale City Council in 1994. Viewers can watch this program on Mondays and Wednesdays at various times throughout the day.

The series "Legends of Airpower" profiles individuals who have significantly contributed to American air power. Notable figures such as Chuck Yeager and Buzz Aldrin are featured in interviews spanning aviation history. This series airs Mondays and Wednesdays at scheduled intervals.

"Living with Urban Wildlife" educates residents about coexisting with local wildlife like coyotes and bobcats. It provides tips for reducing human-wildlife conflicts. This program is available Tuesdays and Saturdays.

"Mussel Decontamination" addresses invasive species control efforts, airing Tuesdays and Fridays.

For those interested in neighborhood leadership, "Neighborhood College" offers resources for effective community engagement on Sundays.

The network also presents discussions on short-term rentals through "Scottsdale 360 | Short Term Rentals," featuring representatives from various city departments discussing new legislation affecting these properties. It airs Fridays and Tuesdays.

Water conservation efforts are covered in "Scottsdale 360 | Water Wise," focusing on resource management amid Colorado River shortages. This program is available Sundays and Wednesdays.

The "Scottsdale Memorial for the Fallen Dedication" honors local military service members who have died in service. The memorial was dedicated earlier this year at Scottsdale City Hall’s Memorial Lawn, with programming scheduled throughout the week.

Safety tips for boating are provided by the Arizona Game and Fish Department in "Splash! Boating Safely in Arizona Waterways," airing Thursdays and Saturdays.

Lastly, "Veterans AZ" celebrates veterans' stories across Arizona through video discussions released both as episodes and podcasts. It airs Mondays and Wednesdays.

A special Veterans Day Commemoration features Rose Mattie sharing her experiences supporting military operations abroad. This program is broadcasted on Mondays at different times during the day.
