The Scottsdale City Council is set to deliberate on an agreement concerning water provision for the Rio Verde Foothills Standpipe District. This initiative aims to address the ongoing water supply challenges faced by residents in Maricopa County's Rio Verde Foothills area. The proposed intergovernmental agreement, which will be discussed at a meeting on September 5, involves the newly established Rio Verde Foothills Standpipe District, created under Arizona Senate Bill 1432. It is noted that Scottsdale's own water resources will not be utilized in this agreement, and costs incurred will be fully recovered from the district.

The council meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Scottsdale City Hall and can be viewed via livestream or on the Scottsdale Video Network.

In other developments, two projects are planned for the Paiute Neighborhood Center. Information meetings about these projects will take place on September 6 at different locations.
