In the latest episode of Veterans AZ, two individuals who contribute significantly to Arizona's veterans' legacy are highlighted. Nikki Stratton, granddaughter of USS Arizona survivor Donald Stratton, shares her grandfather's remarkable story of survival from the attack on December 7, 1941. She explains how he overcame his injuries and returned to service before the end of World War II. Nikki continues to honor this legacy by serving as the sponsor for a new USS Arizona submarine currently being built.

The episode also features MANA House, a transitional housing facility created by veterans for veterans. Army veteran Cole Hickman discusses this initiative that provides support to former service members struggling with homelessness.

Veterans AZ is a video series dedicated to sharing stories of Arizona veterans and promoting awareness about organizations and programs that serve them in the Valley of the Sun. Produced by the City of Scottsdale as part of the Scottsdale Veterans Advisory Commission's efforts, it aims to enhance communication regarding veterans' achievements and services available to them throughout Arizona.

The series is accessible via various podcast platforms.
