Patrons can now enjoy a cup of coffee, tea, or pastries at Civic Center Library through a new partnership with Yellow Spruce Roasters. The café aims to provide a spot for a coffee break while patrons engage in various activities such as reading, strolling through Old Town Scottsdale, or participating in the library's free programs and services.

"We are thrilled to welcome Yellow Spruce Roasters to our library system," said Michael Beck, Scottsdale Public Library director. "Bringing back a café space for our patrons to relax at and grab a great cup of coffee, while enjoying all of the dynamic services offered at Civic Center was a high priority for us."

Civic Center Library previously hosted Beneficial Beans and Meg’s Café but has been without a café space since 2020. The library system conducted a thorough process with several vendors to ensure community and library needs were met.

Yellow Spruce Roasters will operate from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and will be closed on Sundays. A grand opening is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18, at Civic Center Library – 3839 N. Drinkwater Blvd.
