One of our K9 officers was shopping in Petsmart when he was approached by a lady who was also in the market for some treats for her dog. The two chatted for a bit about their canine companions and her military background. At the end of the conversation, she asked him if he knew Ofcs. Oliver and Hathaway. Of course, because we are a smaller agency with close ties, he told her that he knew both of them very well. She asked him to say hello and shared, "I have been in a very dark place in the past, if it weren't for those two, I would not be sitting here talking with you."
We are fortunate to have officers that are saving lives directly and indirectly on the daily but also ones that take the time to connect with our community and share the great stories like this!
