Each week during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we're highlighting the groups in the Scottsdale Domestic Violence Action Team. This week we interviewed our Domestic Violence Detectives about their role in investigating domestic violence cases. Domestic violence crimes involve individuals who are related as defined by Arizona Revised Statute 13-3601, which includes: those who are related by blood or marriage, those who have a child together or who had an intimate dating relationship, and those who have lived together in the same household. For the full list please look up ARS 13-13601.
If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence there are resources available and ways you can ask for help.
