Are you ready to learn how to navigate our crazy system of health care? Do you need to understand what procedures are required, or just recommended? These are just some of the topics that will be covered in this very valuable 3 – part “Consumer Health Lecture Series”. In this first session you will get an overview of health care systems and health insurance (including Medicare), a breakdown of heath care costs and coverages, help in finding your way around the health care system, and help in determining when, and which health care you need. Session#2 is on Oct. 24 and Session #3 is on Nov. 28. Barbara Hewitt has been teaching in all areas of health sciences for many years. She is a strong advocate for preventive health practices and for health improvement. Please register online so that we will be able to have a count of participants in order to have enough room for all. A suggested donation for each valuable session is $10, payable at the door.
