Photographs created by at-risk kids in a 9-week program through Kids in Focus.
Local photographers mentored 40 at-risk youth through a 9-week exploration of their world, using the safe aperture of a camera to help them gain a new perspective on the world and themselves.
Kids in Focus (KIF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering and equipping at-risk kids to shift from surviving to thriving. Through the restorative power of photography and one-on-one time with dedicated mentors, the kids are inspired to open their eyes to their potential and self-worth and, in return, build resilience, trust, wonder, and hope.
