Moms for Liberty has endorsed Stacey Goodman in her race for a seat on the Cave Creek Unified School District (CCUSD) Governing Board. Early voting is currently underway for the November 5 general election.
According to the Vote 3 for Cave Creek School Board website, community and student safety is a top priority for Stacey Goodman, and she has worked closely with both local leaders and law enforcement. Goodman was chosen to serve as a delegate to represent Arizona at the 2024 Republican National Convention.
Goodman was an officer in the Suffolk County Police Department on Long Island on September 11, 2001. The day after the attacks, she was called to serve as part of the Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team at Ground Zero, where, for 23 consecutive days, she helped the medical examiner identify the bodies of victims. She wrote a book, "The Dust Never Settles," about her experience. She ultimately moved to Cave Creek after retiring as a Suffolk County Police Detective.
According to the CCUSD Governing Board page, the Board comprises five members. Per the Maricopa County Superintendent's Office, in the upcoming general election, there are one two-year position and three four-year positions available on the Board.
Moms for Liberty is a parental-rights-in-education advocacy group founded by Tiffany Justice and Tina Descovich, two former school board members. According to their website, "Moms for Liberty is dedicated to fighting for the survival of America by unifying, educating and empowering parents to defend their parental rights at all levels of government."
