Mr. Garland White was the first principal of Scottsdale Grammar School

Coronado High School SUSD issued the following announcement on Feb. 18.

Mr. Garland White was the first principal of Scottsdale Grammar School (later known as Scottsdale Elementary School and then Loma Linda School) 1928-1929. It had 594 students grades 1-8. 

In 1929-1930, he was elected principal of Scottsdale High School Alumni and Superintendent of the Scottsdale School System. He served ten years from 1929-30 to 1938-39.
