Several businesses still receiving applicants amid pandemic closures

Many business around the Valley including bars, theaters, restaurants, stores and casinos, have either reduced their hours or closed down in wake of the rising COVID-19 pandemic. 

According to the Phoenix Biz Journals, some businesses have not only decided to remain in business, but are also taking in new applicants.

These businesses include Albertsons and Safeway, Fry’s Food Stores, WinCo, Basha’s, Sprouts, Walmart, Amazon, Target, Walgreens, Banner Health and Jet’s Pizza.

Albertsons and Safeway have more than a thousand openings in Arizona. Positions available include cashiers, customer service, delivery drivers and positions at the deli, bakery, meat and produce departments.

Fry’s Food Stores, on the other hand, have nearly 500 openings in Arizona. Positions vary from hourly entry-level to management positions such as grocery clerk, e-commerce clerk, assistant grocery manager, deli manager, producer manager, assistant front end manager and certified pharmacy technician.
