TOWN OF PARADISE VALLEY: Lincoln Drive Median Island Project

Rw

Town of Paradise Valley issued the following announcement on Nov. 25

In preparation for repaving Lincoln Drive with rubberized asphalt in 2021, the Town and private utility companies are making infrastructure improvements on and under Lincoln Drive.  These various projects have been scheduled simultaneously or in close succession because once the roadway is repaved, the Town will prohibit cutting into Lincoln Drive for five years.  An exception will be made for emergencies such as a water or sewer line break.

The purpose of this project is to replace the existing curb with raised median islands along Lincoln Drive between 32nd Street and Mockingbird Lane, and add or modify existing median islands for improved traffic safety, landscaping and irrigation, and fiber infrastructure for new intelligent transportation systems.

On November 21, 2019, the Town Council reviewed the draft design plans in a public meeting and provided initial feedback.  The presentation to Council along with the draft plans are available for review and comment by following the link below.  In addition, there will be opportunities for residents to provide feedback to the Council at future public meetings.
