“We know parenting can be difficult at times for all families. For parents of children with disabilities, it can be especially challenging,” said Marie Raymond, human services manager with the city. “The Stepping Stones Triple P program is designed to support families by teaching parents how to encourage their child’s social and communication skills, emotional self-regulation, independence and problem-solving skills.”
“Equipping parents with these skills can help promote family harmony, encourage successful peer relationships and prepare children for transitioning to adulthood,” Raymond said.
