The United States Marine Corps is set to mark its 250th anniversary with a performance by the Battle Color Detachment (BCD) at Saguaro High School Football Stadium in Scottsdale, Arizona. The event will take place on March 4 at 7 p.m., featuring the United States Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon, the Commandant’s Own United States Marine Drum and Bugle Corps, and the Official Color Guard of the Marine Corps.
The BCD, composed of approximately 130 Marines from Marine Barracks Washington, D.C., travels globally to showcase the values of honor, courage, and commitment that define the Corps. This year's performance celebrates the Marine Corps' long-standing tradition of excellence and pays tribute to its rich history.
"This event is an opportunity for the community to witness the extraordinary talent and commitment of Marines who serve as a living testament to the Corps’ legacy of excellence," according to a statement from the USMC. It promises a display of precision and pride intended to captivate attendees.
In celebration of this milestone, members of the public are invited to experience firsthand "the dedication and pride of the United States Marine Corps." The tour aims not only to honor past sacrifices but also to inspire future generations.
