Cox Communications is playing a significant role in powering the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans for the upcoming football game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. The company has enhanced its fiber-powered network to ensure seamless connectivity for thousands of fans attending the event, as well as viewers across the country.

The network's capacity at Caesars Superdome has been increased from 10 to 40 gig speeds. Additionally, Cox has installed 1,300 miles of fiber optic cables throughout New Orleans. In terms of internet services, Cox offers multi-gig download speeds that are available to more customers in more homes than any other provider in both New Orleans and across Louisiana.

For those watching from home, Cox Contour TV customers with a 4K TV and a Contour Wireless 4K box can view the Super Bowl in high resolution on channel 4001. This format provides four times the resolution of standard high-definition video.

Sunni LeBeouf, market vice president of Cox New Orleans, stated: “Cox has a longstanding history of providing superior service to global events, including recent games in Las Vegas and Phoenix. We do a lot of work to ensure the Cox network, powered by fiber is best-in-class every day, whether fans are watching inside the stadium, at the tailgate or at home.”

Cox Communications operates fiber-powered networks across more than 30 states and serves nearly seven million homes and businesses nationwide. It is part of Cox Enterprises, founded by Governor James M. Cox in 1898.
