Residents of Scottsdale and nearby areas have several upcoming events and initiatives to engage with, as announced by city officials. A public meeting is scheduled for tonight at the North Tempe Multi-Generational Center from 6 to 7 p.m. to discuss the Roosevelt Storm Drain Project. This initiative aims to enhance storm drain capacity, improve water capture, and explore green features for landscaping. The project is a collaborative effort between Tempe, Scottsdale, and the Maricopa County Flood Control District.

In leadership news, Greg Caton has been appointed as Scottsdale's newest assistant city manager. Caton brings extensive experience from his previous roles in Grand Junction, Colorado; Oro Valley, Arizona; and Durango, Colorado. He holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Fort Lewis College and a master's degree in public administration from the University of Colorado at Denver. "Caton will work alongside Scottsdale’s other assistant city managers Bill Murphy and Brent Stockwell when he assumes his new role May 6."

The city is also hosting the All Things Senior Expo and Tradeshow on Wednesday, February 21st at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. This free event offers information on healthcare, senior housing, city services, recreation, technology, transportation, health screenings, and educational opportunities.
