Scottsdale Video Network has announced its program schedule for May, available on Cox Cable channel 11 and through live streaming. The network will feature a variety of programs this month. "2023 Scottsdale Forward" will air Thursdays and Fridays, focusing on economic development with insights from local business leaders and stakeholders. "Legends of Airpower," an award-winning series profiling influential figures in American aviation history like Chuck Yeager and Buzz Aldrin, is scheduled for Mondays and Wednesdays. "Living with Urban Wildlife" provides guidance on coexisting with desert wildlife such as coyotes and bobcats.
"Mussel Decontamination" educates viewers on combating invasive species in local waters. "Neighborhood College" offers resources for residents to become effective community leaders.
The network also presents discussions on short-term rentals through "Scottsdale 360 | Short Term Rentals," examining recent legislation affecting these properties. Another segment, "Scottsdale 360 | Water Wise," addresses water conservation amid shortages from the Colorado River.
A dedication ceremony for the Scottsdale Memorial for the Fallen honors local military service members who have died in duty; this airs multiple times throughout the week. Safety tips for boating are shared in "Splash! Boating Safely in Arizona Waterways."
Lastly, programs like "Veterans AZ" celebrate Arizona veterans' contributions while highlighting support organizations within the community. The Veterans Day Commemoration features Rose Mattie discussing her experiences serving alongside elite military units.
