The Vista del Camino Community Center is currently hosting a professional clothing drive to assist local job seekers. Donations of gently used clothing for men and women, especially in plus sizes, are welcomed until Friday. Items such as bras, socks, belts, ties, shoes, new undergarments, cosmetics, and toiletries can be dropped off at the center located at 7700 E. Roosevelt St.
Maricopa County continues to monitor COVID-19 cases since January 2020. The city of Scottsdale has partnered with Vincere Center Centers to provide rapid COVID-19 testing and vaccinations by appointment at designated locations. Testing is available on Tuesdays and Fridays at Granite Reef Senior Center and on Wednesdays at Mustang Library. Vaccinations are offered on Fridays at Granite Reef Senior Center and Wednesdays at Mustang Library. Testing is open to individuals aged three years and older.
Free vaccine events will continue through March at various community centers offering Pfizer (for ages five and older), Janssen, and Moderna vaccines (both for ages 18 and older). No registration is required for these events; walk-ins are welcome.
Residents can enroll in v-safe using their smartphones to report any post-vaccination effects to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction is ongoing until January 30th at WestWorld in Scottsdale. The event features an exhibitor marketplace alongside live television coverage.
Western Week will take place from January 29th to February 6th in Old Town Scottsdale. The week includes Western-themed festivals, art walks, the Hashknife Pony Express, and the Parada del Sol.
