The Scottsdale City Council will convene today at 2 p.m. to address Monday's Court of Appeals ruling on Proposition 490, a proposed 0.15% city sales tax rate ballot measure.

In a reversal of a lower court decision, the Arizona Court of Appeals determined that Scottsdale's ballot measure could not proceed as drafted.

The City Council will discuss and potentially take action on the matter during their meeting. Part of the discussion may occur in executive session, but any decisions will be made in an open public meeting.

The meeting will take place in the Kiva at Scottsdale City Hall, located at 3939 N. Drinkwater Blvd., and will be streamed live on ScottsdaleAZ.gov (search "live stream") and on the city's YouTube channel, YouTube.com/ScottsdaleArizona.

Residents can access official city election information at Scottsdale.Vote.
