The first phase of a new website has been introduced, with further updates planned throughout the year to enhance accessibility, security, and navigation. Users may encounter content migration issues and broken links during this transition period. A "Report a Website Problem" form is available for feedback.

The new website features mega menus categorized into City Services, Your City, Community Programs, Get Involved, and Explore and Enjoy. The site also includes an improved search function and an intent-based "I Want To" navigation system.

Feedback is encouraged to help improve the site further. Most city offices will be closed on July 4th for Independence Day; however, trash and recycling schedules remain unaffected.

Scottsdale’s McDowell Sonoran Preserve will close at noon on July 4th due to wildfire threats and reopen at 5 a.m. on July 5th. Violating the closure could result in fines or jail time. Pinnacle Peak Park will remain open from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. on July 4th.

Although some consumer fireworks are permitted by state law in Scottsdale, their use in sensitive desert areas remains illegal with significant fines for violations. Fire officials recommend attending professional shows instead.

Scottsdale's Fourth of July Celebration at WestWorld will feature live entertainment and family-friendly activities from 5-9 p.m., concluding with one of Arizona's largest fireworks displays.

Residents are reminded that up to 70% of residential water use occurs outdoors; checking irrigation systems for leaks is advised. The WaterSmart Portal offers tools for leak detection.

Public meetings scheduled for the week of July 1 include City Council Special and Work Study Meeting on Tuesday, July 2nd at 5 p.m., followed by the City Council Regular Meeting at the same time.

Upcoming events include movie matinees at Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West every Thursday and Sunday in July. The lineup features films such as "Spirit: A Stallion of the Cimarron," "Red River," and "Pale Rider." Additionally, Scottsdale ArtWalk takes place Thursdays from 7-9 p.m., showcasing visual art from local galleries.

Career Services coaches are available virtually or in-person to assist job seekers with employment strategies including resume development and interview preparation.

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) advises drivers about ongoing restrictions as part of Loop 101 improvements starting July 8th. These include closures affecting ramps at Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard until mid-August.

Historian Joan Fudala highlights that celebrating Fourth of July has deep roots in Scottsdale's history dating back to its namesake Winfield Scott's community celebrations in the early 1900s.

Finally, Scottsdale is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to lead innovation within its Water Resources Division.
