76-year-old Timothy Rexford Grant has been arrested in Scottsdale, accused of fatally stabbing his roommate on March 27. The incident took place at their residence near McKellips Road and Hayden Road, leading to a tragic outcome where the victim, 69-year-old David Ricks, did not survive his injuries.

According to reports, a neighbor called 911 at the Riviera Mobile Home Park, prompting police and fire crews to respond to the scene. David Ricks was found inside the residence with knife wounds and despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the hospital later that day.

Timothy Grant, who has been identified as the suspect, remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. Grant disclosed that the stabbing occurred during a physical altercation that stemmed from a verbal argument between him and David Ricks. Grant revealed that the two had been roommates for over a decade, emphasizing that the incident was an isolated one that unfolded inside their home.

As a result of the investigation, Timothy Grant has been booked in the Maricopa County Jail for one count of Manslaughter ARS 13-1103.A1. The case reference number for this tragic event is 24-06741.

In relation to the case, it has been communicated that Timothy Grant's Form 4 and booking photo can be requested through MCSO/MCAO, as Scottsdale PD will not be conducting interviews regarding the matter at this time.

This unfortunate event serves as a stark reminder of the consequences that can arise from escalating conflicts, even among individuals who have shared living spaces for an extended period.
