Heavy traffic congestion was reported last night at Camelback Road and 73rd Street. Anyone traveling to the Entertainment District should park at the Galleria garage on Wells Fargo Avenue, south of Shoeman Lane.
If you are taking a ride share to the Entertainment District, direct your driver to the designated drop-off/pick-up lot at Stetson Drive and 6th Avenue. Ride share drivers stopping on Camelback Road increases congestion in the area and creates an unsafe environment for pedestrians crossing Camelback at unmarked intersections.
If you are not going to the Entertainment District, you may want to take Indian School to avoid heavy vehicle and pedestrian traffic in the area.
We are seeing lots of traffic congestion on the Loop 101 and Talking Stick Way/Indian Bend Road this week and special events are scheduled throughout the weekend at Casino Arizona, so motorists should expect delays when traveling in the area
