City of Litchfield Park issued the following announcement on Aug. 19.
After several years of being known as the “City Center”, the City of Litchfield Park has an official name for its mixed-use development and is excited to celebrate with a groundbreaking ceremony on September 15, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. behind City Hall. On May 15, 2019, Council accepted Destination LP’s plan as a guideline for the development. This project design style will be based on existing Litchfield Park buildings such as the Wigwam, the Church at Litchfield Park and Litchfield Elementary as prime examples.
The City Manager’s Marketing Group, along with City Council, has branded this new development “Litchfield Square”. The 30 acres of Litchfield Square, located on the east side of Litchfield Road north of Wigwam Boulevard, will be the new home of restaurants, shopping, professional offices and a 2.5-acre park which will be used for special events within the City. Luxury condominiums as well as parking garages have also been considered to ensure ample parking for special events. For more information, please contact City Hall at 623.935.5033
