The “Truth in Taxation” notice concerning the City of Scottsdale's initial property tax levy has been published as per Arizona state law.
Published on the official City of Scottsdale, a recent public hearing, held by Scottsdale’s leaders, revealed that a proposed property tax levy will be implemented before final budget adoption. The levy hearing is scheduled for June 16.
In the meeting, Scottsdale officials are expected to announce that the city will increase its proposed primary property tax levy to $1,561,848 for new construction.
Due to the COVID-19 social distancing protocol, the hearing is likely to be televised on Cox Cable Channel 11.
According to officials, the hearing will also be streamed online at ScottsdaleAZ.gov. Citizens are to search the website for “live stream." The meeting will be held at the Scottsdale City Hall, which is located at 3939 N. Drinkwater Blvd. The agenda for the meeting can also be found on the website by searching for “agendas."
