Campaign finance reports are now available for Scottsdale's upcoming primary election on Aug. 4 and they show how candidates are being supported financially by Scottsdale residents.
Scottsdale City Council has nine candidates running and there are five other candidates running for city mayor, according to the Scottsdale Independent.
In the first quarter reporting period, mayoral candidate Lisa Borowsky reported no financial activity. But Suzanne Klapp reported $42,200, Virginia Korte reported $94,071, Bob Littlefield reported $7,550 and David Ortega shows $11,700, according to the Scottsdale Independent.
The nine candidates running for city council all reported finances for the first quarter. Michael Auerbach reported $850, Tammy Caputi showed $19,050, Bill Crawford recorded $20,600, Thomas Durham showed $8,405, Betty Janik reported $9,583, Becca Linnig showed $2,900, John Little recorded $22,900, Kevin Maxwell had $7,750 and Guy Phillips showed $9,638, according to the Scottsdale Independent.
Scottsdale City Clerk Carolyn Jagger reports and maintains campaign finances, according to the Scottsdale Independent. All candidates must disclose the names of those who donated unless they donated $50 or less.
