The Desert Foothills Land Trust (DFLT) is organizing an event titled “Wild Wonders: An Evening of Arizona Wildlife Photography,” which will feature photographer Bruce Taubert. The event is scheduled for Thursday, October 30th at 6:00 PM and will take place at the Carefree Desert Gardens Pavilion.
Bruce Taubert, known for his background in wildlife biology and photography, has spent years capturing images of Arizona’s diverse wildlife. His photographs include a wide range of animals, from small insects to large mammals. According to DFLT, Taubert’s work helps people better understand and appreciate the region’s wildlife.
“Bruce’s photography beautifully captures the incredible diversity of wildlife that makes Arizona so special,” said Vicki Preston, President and CEO of DFLT. “His images remind us why protecting these natural habitats is so important for the creatures that depend on them and for future generations who deserve to experience this amazing wildlife.”
The event aims to provide attendees with a visual journey through various ecosystems in Arizona, such as Sonoran Desert valleys and mountain forests. Guests will have the opportunity to learn about lesser-known species as well as gain new perspectives on familiar animals through Taubert’s lens.
Tickets for the event are available at dflt.org/wildwonders.
Desert Foothills Land Trust works with local communities to conserve sensitive lands and species within the Sonoran Desert. The nonprofit operates across North Valley communities and has conserved nearly 1,100 acres over 29 preserves. Many of these preserves are accessible to the public. In 2022, DFLT was re-accredited by the Land Trust Accreditation Commission and continues its efforts to protect desert landscapes while balancing conservation with community development needs.
