The city of Scottsdale has appointed Will Lofdahl as the new general manager of WestWorld. Lofdahl brings over 30 years of experience in special event and facility management to his new role. As general manager, he will oversee the executive leadership, direction, and management of WestWorld, a multi-use event and equestrian center known nationally.
Before joining WestWorld, Lofdahl was vice president of corporate operations at Regina Exhibition Associated Limited in Canada. This 100-acre facility hosts large-scale events attracting 3.5 million visitors annually. His career also includes serving as CEO for SaskTel Centre, a sports arena with a seating capacity of 15,000 in western Canada, and assistant general manager for the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.
“I am proud to have been selected as general manager of WestWorld, a facility that has developed a strong international reputation over the years,” said Lofdahl. “I look forward to working with the WestWorld staff, city administration, our partners and our clients to continue forging a successful path for the facility.”
Lofdahl's educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Arizona State University and an MBA from Northern Arizona University. He attended Public Assembly Facility Management School through the International Association of Venue Managers and holds a Certified Venue Executive accreditation.
A dual citizen of the United States and Canada, Lofdahl began his tenure as general manager on September 23.
